This one is raw, intense, and emotionally charged—it feels like a release rather than a depiction.
The vertical drips immediately set the tone. They read as gravity, time, and inevitability all at once—paint literally pulling itself downward. That motion creates a sense of collapse or surrender, which contrasts powerfully with the central figure still standing, still present, even as the world around (and within) them seems to melt.
The figure itself is beautifully ambiguous. It’s human, but not fixed—almost dissolving into the surrounding paint. The lack of facial detail keeps it universal, while the exposed chest area, layered with reds, pinks, and dark tones, feels vulnerable and visceral. It suggests emotion laid bare—heart, pain, identity—without spelling it out too literally.
The color palette is doing heavy emotional lifting. The blacks and deep shadows feel oppressive, while the creams and whites give brief moments of breath. The reds and magentas feel like wounds or memories bleeding through layers. Nothing feels accidental; even the mess has intention.
What really works is the balance between control and chaos. The drips are wild, but the composition isn’t. The figure is centered just enough to feel deliberate, almost confrontational. It’s uncomfortable in a compelling way—the kind of piece that makes viewers stop and feel before they understand.

My work is driven by an insistent need to make — to explore, experiment, and stay in conversation with materials. I work across multiple mediums, clay, glass, paint, fiber. I let the process guide the outcome rather than forcing a fixed result. What’s made is often taken apart, reshaped, or returned to the beginning.
I draw inspiration from the natural world and from the quiet details of everyday life — the mundane, the overlooked, the in-between. I’m interested in cycles: forming, breaking down, and becoming something new.
I approach my practice with openness and curiosity, allowing room for wonder, failure, and transformation. What comes before is carried forward. The work evolves through repetition, pressure, attention, and time.
